Nicho-Free Celebration

Hi there Chobots! You probably have seen the user named, "Ghost."  He even has a Twitter. Well, he's actually NOT a user, or even a Chobot in fact. He's just simply, a plain ghost. Recently, he informed the Staff Member, ToastyTim that the Nichos had officially surrendered.

In celebration that the Nichos have surrendered, ToastyTim has decided to host a wicked party! The party will have lots of colorful Magic to celebrate not having any more Nichos. Also, remember to wear the colors Blue and Purple.

This event will be held at Mission Street on Friday, October 18th, at 8 PM Cho-Time. If you're confused on the exact time, you can refer to this countdown below:

Also, if you're wearing a really cool outfit that you incorporated Blue and Purple with, you might win an awesome prize!

See you at the party,
Alexa

Hey there Chobots! As the Chobots Team promised, they're hosting another Halloween Themed Contest! With Halloween in only a little over two weeks, this contest could definitely help you get in the spirit.

The task of this contest is to create a Halloween Story. To create your story, you have to use this Template. Your story should meet the following guidelines: Must be a Scary Story, Related to Chobots and Halloween, and it should be Creative.

You have until October 21st to complete your entry. Once you have completed your entry, comment the link on this post. (If the Commenting system doesn't load, try clearing your cache or switching browsers.) Winners will receive some sweet prizes.

Also, in recent news. The staff member, Paris hosted a Photography contest on the Chobots Forum! If you have ever met Paris, you probably know she has a strong passion for photography. You can check out her awesome photos by clicking here. Our winners are:

Design a Costume Contest

Hi Chobots! With Halloween just around the corner, the Chobots Team realized we need more costumes. So, they're hosting another Design a Costume Contest!

For this contest your task is to Design a brand new Halloween Themed Costume. Something that hasn't ever been designed before and is completely your own, original idea. This means you can't use a design you have previously made, or another person's design.

You have an entire week (until Saturday, October 19th.) to submit your entry. You can draw your Design on paper and take a picture or design it on the computer. Most Designers use Flash to design official items made in-game. If you want an increased chance of your Design being made, you can use this template.

You can create as many Designs as you please, just try not to spam up the Comments on the Main Blog with multiple entries.

Winners will receive a Week of Citizenship, 5,000 Bugs, and Their item! Once you have completed your Design(s) remember to comment them here.

Have fun designing,
Alexa

Chobots Two Year Anniversary

Hey there Chobots! If you have ever played Choproff before, you may recall he asks the question, "When was Chobots.net created?" The answer would be October 8th. Well, it is October and in only three days it will be October 8th! This will mark the second year of Chobots.net.

I registered for Chobots.net in nearly the beginning. I really didn't play too much back then, though. But, since January it has really been amazing watching the game change and grow.

Since January the Chobots Team has added the Trading Feature back, the Market, a notification to let you know when a user is online, more items, different types of Contests, new Events, brought back the Twitter Feature, Chobots Council, Elite Journalism, more partnerships, and plenty more with even more features to come.

Chobots.net will continue to add more features, and hopefully continue to grow. It's been an amazing two years, and I really can't wait to see what else is in store.

Happy Anniversary Chobots,
Alexa

German Unity Day Party: Review

Hi Chobots! I hope you're enjoying your day today. I know I sure am, as I attended the first ever German Unity Day Party. If you weren't able to attend this time I'm sure there will be more fun events in the future. The party started off with the entire room changing colors and some German music. You can check out the Photo Album below to see all of the pictures Grace took:

The party was very fun. I really liked listening to the music playing in German. And, the quiz was also very enjoyable. Both Vani and TikiTiki asked Quiz questions. All of them were about Germany. And, most were things that I hadn't ever heard before! So it was great to learn about it. I even was lucky enough to win a quiz question. Also, at the party quite a few things rained. This includes Star Backgrounds, Angel-looking Wings, City Shirts, a Dog Mask, Fan Shirts, Tree Costume, Green Tree Costume, German Flag, Water Wings, and an Alien costume.

Overall the party was very fun! Of course it had the usual lag. But, what would a party be on Chobots without lag?

Have an awesome week,
Alexa

Game Night - In 5 Minutes

Hey Chobots! Well, this is a rather late post considering Game Night is in less than 5 minutes. Anyway, it had been probably over a month since the last Game Night so the Chobots Team decided to hold one again.

#8)

Game Night is a night
where all the Games on Chobots are open to compete in. Usually ranging from an hour or even three hours. During that time you have to try to get to First Place on the game you choose. If you reach First Place you'll win an exclusive Game Night prize item, plus Bugs, and Citizenship.

Game Night Starts at 9 PM Cho-Time. (Right now!)

Also, if you have already won a Game Night in the past you cannot win it again in that same Game. But, you can win in a different game.

If you catch anyone cheating, please take a picture and email it to Support@Chobots.net.

Have fun,
Alexa

Congratulations to Luna, ElmoSwag, Randomzzz and Destrotant. Each of you received Five days of Citizenship, 5,000 Bugs, and a Sun Shield item.

September Journalism

Hello Chobots! With it being mid-September that means it's time to recruit some new Journalists. If you haven't heard of the Journalist program before, I'll explain it in this post.

A Journalist is a Chobot that owns a blog. Their blog was hand selected by the Chobots Team to become part of the Journalism Program. They receive many special perks, which I will explain in this post. Anyone is eligible to become a Journalist if their blog meets these requirements:

• Your blog should be at least One Month old.
• It should be active and updated Weekly. (A minimum of 3 posts every week.)
• Your posts should always be written in your own words, and not plagiarized. You can read more about Plagiarism by clicking here.
• Your blog should be nicely decorative and creative. A simple Header and clean Template will work as well.

From all of this hard work Journalists will receive the following perks:

• Their blogs will be featured on the Official Chobots blogroll.
• Their blog will be showcased on the "Play Now" page.
• A special Journalist badge on their Playercard, along with the name of their blog.
• They will be invited to write a post for the Main Blog.
• They have the ability to Private Chat a Moderator.
• They will be awarded one week of Citizenship, a Feather, and 10,000 Bugs.
• As well as the name-tags beneath their Chobot will be purple.

If you believe you have what it takes to become a Journalist, comment your blog's link on this post on the Main Blog. Don't worry if you don't make it this time, it took Grace and I a bunch of tries until we earned Journalism. We just kept improving our blog and trying to make it better.

You only have until September 24th to submit, otherwise you will have to wait until next month for the next Journalists.

Have fun blogging,

Alexa

Pictionary and Hangman Event

Hi there Chobots! Since it had been awhile since the Chobots Team hosted a Pictionary and Hangman event they decided it's time to again. This time with our newest addition to the team, Mike!

If you haven't heard of the game Pictionary before, it's actually a rather simple, fun game. How it works is the Host (in this case, Mike.) draws a picture. Then the audience tries to guess what the picture is. The person that correctly guesses the picture will be awarded one point.

With Hangman, the Host will draw an amount of spaces for each letter to be placed to make a word. An example would be I want the audience to guess the word, "Dog." I put three spaces like this: ---
then the audience tries guessing the letters. For each incorrectly guessed letter the host draws a stick-figure person. Starting with the head, body, Arms, and Legs until the entire stick figure is complete. Once the stick figure is fully drawn, the audience is out of guesses.

Have an amazing day,
Alexa

Hey there Chobots! Since it's a new month that means new Citizenship packages. So this month the team brought out some brand new sweet items. These items weren't ever released before to everyone.

Each package includes a stunning pair of wings complemented with a wicked hand item. Also in every package you receive the items shown along with the ability to trade, bugs and of course the Citizenship. Have an outstanding week,

Council Voting

Hey everyone! The long anticipated councilor results are in. There are many wonderful candidates, making it a very hard decision to vote!

How exactly does the council work? Many players were confused with the fact that you just give suggestions, then the team votes whether or not they should be implemented. According to Jake, this in fact is wrong. The council is actually where the Staff Members make suggestions for the game and then players vote whether or not they would like them added to the game. This is what makes the council different from the forum, support or anywhere where you would take your own suggestions.

Remember to vote for the players you believe would help out in the council and really impact the community in a positive way. Don't just vote for a friend! To vote for the candidates, click here.

Have fun and good luck to all of the candidates. :D

Have an awesome day,

Grace

Hangman and the Agent's Poll.

Hey there, Cho's! Sorry about not posting in quite awhile.

• Camera
• Chalk
• Eathan
• TheUFO
• Twirl

Firstly, congratulations to our six candidates! If you would like to vote for one of the candidates click here.  Remember to vote for a user you believe truly deserves it.

Have fun everyone,

Alexa

All of the items are pretty cheap, so if you want to make a cool Summer Outfit, it won't take you very much time.

Also, now since it's July it's time to recruit new Journalists.
