Console and Video Game Review: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

Hello Chobots! A lot of times on our blog here, we'll write posts of our interests. Recently, I've become interested in playing the XBOX. Whenever Chobots may be down, this is a pretty cool game to try out if you're bored during that time. I'm always looking for fun, unique games. Well, during August I came across now one of my favorite console games. It's called Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

  • What the Game is about
This is a story type game. It's actually a very different game compared to what you can buy right now. It's a heart-felt story about a bond of two brothers trying to save their father. They even go to very dangerous places, and a lot of times have to work together closely.

  • The bond between the Brothers

Both Brothers share an extremely close bond. You can definitely tell that during game-play  If one brother runs ahead, the other will start waving and shouting for him to come back or come over there. Both Brothers work together in simple, yet creative ways.
  • How you play
On the XBOX, you use each thumb-stick to move each individual brother. The controls can seem a bit strange, but it's pretty easy to get used to. On the PS3, you also use both thumb-sticks. (One for each Brother.) On the computer, it has full keyboard support.
  • The Game's Rating
This game has an ESRB rating of Teen. You can read more about ESRB ratings by clicking here. I do recommend it if you're 13 years old and up. Any younger, I'm not quite sure. As there are some "scary" and dark parts.

  • Overall
I have called this my favorite game on the XBOX, since it really is. It's so different compared to what I've played before. The story is extremely touching about two brothers trying to save their father. It definitely has some dark parts in it, though. This game is, however very short. The campaign only lasts about three hours. Also, it really depends on your personal preference  While a lot of people really like this game, a lot do not. If you would like to purchase this game you can buy it on the Xbox Arcade, Playstation Network, or on Steam. Note: On Steam it says it requires a controller, however the game has keyboard support as well. You can read more about the Keyboard Support by clicking here

Thanks for reading this review!
